Pure Laser is a brand that is fairly recognizable in Chicago, if for some unfortunate reasons. The brand name behind the Pure Med Spa chain of cosmetic clinics started off in March 2007 in Chicago, IL. It soon went on to gain an infamous reputation among customers due to their inability to follow through on the promises made and their indifferent services, not to mention their constantly changing staff.

Maya Med Spa has become our worst reviewed hair removal options in the Chicago Area. We highly suggest people seek alternatives in hair removal, as the existing customers of Maya Med Spa have had many, many bad experiences. Here are a few quotes:

Dear ladies, never ever ever, under any circumstences go to the Maya Med Spa because there are two evil people, who lie and care only about the money you’ll give them. They ( Victoria and the manager) will push you into doing unnessesary thing just because they want to have more money out of you. I don’t mean everyone in the spa, only these two people. I don’t know why, but how can they still work there? Victoria knows and understands nothing about her job. Victoria will gossip behind your back and tell everyone stuff about you and your body that are not even true. My suggestion is never, even if it’s super cheaps, trust Victoria with your body. She’ll screw it. She take the money, promocing the good result, the result will be bad and money never returned to you.

This place has to be the worst. I bought a 5-laser package and have seen no improvements. Nathan says that this is “normal.” What the? He is totally unprofessional. And, take a look at the reviews with 5 stars. They are all in the same writing style with the reviewer supposedly writing her first name – Nathan is obviously writing the reviews. I’m sure that all of the sudden, now there will be an influx of 4 and 5 star reviews with the writing styles totally changed. I asked Nathan about how much it is to get botox and he told me to go to the doctor’s office in Wilmette b/c the doctor doesn’t actually ever come to Maya. What kind of management is that?

This is the first time I have ever written a review on an establishment, but I am so unhappy with the service and results, I actually registered so I can write this review and hopefully save someone else from wasting their money.

I drove 10 miles everyday fourth week of the month to get laser hair removal for the past 7 months, and I have had poor results. The hair grows back in a matter of days.

Plus, I think the staff are rude and inconsiderate. You may have to sit in the waiting room for an hour before you actually get seen.

TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN!!!
